All hard-shell clams are of the same species. They grow to different sizes and delectably depending on the sea water in which they live. All our clams are "Caught Wild," not farmed. Clams are measured by the thickness of the body, the "hinge-width," not the diameter.
Cherrystones are our largest hard-shell clams. They are often used on chowders. Each has about a ?? inch "hinge width". We sell Cherrystones by the peck -- approximately 38 to a peck, approximately 10 - 12 pounds.
