All hard-shell clams are of the same species. They grow to different sizes and delectably depending on the sea water in which they live. All our clams are "Caught Wild," not farmed. Clams are measured by the thickness of the body, the "hinge-width," not the diameter.
Littlenecks are the most tender of the hard-shell clams. They are often enjoyed on the half-shell and in clams casino. Each has about a ?? inch "hinge width". We sell Littlenecks by the peck -- approximately 50 to 58 to a peck, approximately 10 - 12 pounds.
